Please join us in sponsoring a ceremony followed by a luncheon reception honoring the 50th anniversary of the Robert F. Kennedy Medical Plan. Among the anticipated 150 guests will be a delegation of farm worker leaders from regional companies under United Farm Workers contracts whose families’ lives have been changed through coverage under the RFK plan’s medical, dental and vision benefits.
Our special guest is Kerry Kennedy, daughter of RFK and president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights along with farm worker movement leaders, including UFW President Arturo S. Rodriguez and the union’s secretary-treasurer and next president, Teresa Romero and Executive Director of the UFW Foundation, Diana Tellefson Torres.
McDonnell Hall, then in the Sal Si Puedes barrio of East San Jose, was where his parish priest, Father Donald McDonnell, first introduced a young Cesar Chavez to activism while he was laboring in orchards outside San Jose in the late 1940s.
We are grateful for your continuing commitment to the Robert F. Kennedy Medical Plan as well as the farm workers and their families whom we serve.
